Dr. Jian Xu is a professor in the Institute of Chemistry at the Chinese Academy of Science (Beijing, China). His research focuses on investigating the behaviour, structure and dynamics of bionic polymers, as well as functional polymers and fibres. He also serves as the Vice President of the Chinese Material Research Society, as well as the Vice President of the Chinese Composites Society. Dr. Xu has published over 240 academic papers, 13 books and book chapters, and has been awarded over 50 patents.
