3D printing has been leading to a new revolution in many industrial sectors such as manufacturing and biomedical devices. The technology has demonstrated powerful capability that substantially changes the way in which materials are turned into products. 3D printing of biopolymers for applications in different branches like packaging industry or medical industry has also emerging as an interesting topic. Two speakers will give an overview of the state of the art of 3D printing technologies, opportunities and challenges, review various 3D printing techniques and their mechanisms, advantages and limits, discuss technical topics of 3D printing technologies for bioplastic printing and bio printing with focuses on manufacturing and biomedical applications.
The audience is invited to discuss their needs and questions concerning material choice, 3D printing technologies and applications.
This workshop will be given by Dr. Frank Ehrig and Dr. Jun Yang
