Dr. Joseph F. Stanzione is an Assistant Professor at Rowan University. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University and received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware. Dr. Stanzione's research subjects include the application of lignin as an alternative material in plastics, renewable chemicals and pharmaceuticals, as well as the use of green chemistry in developing lignocellulosic biorefineries. He has published numerous peer reviewed journal articles, and holds two patents in the area of bio-based polymers and green chemistry.
