Dr. Mohanty, Professor, Premier's Research Chair in Biomaterials and Transportation, and Research Leadership Chair, is the Director of the Bioproducts Discovery & Development Centre (BDDC) at the University of Guelph, ON, Canada. Dr. Mohanty's research interests include natural fiber composites, bio-based and biodegradable polymers, biorefinery, biocarbon production and reinforcement, reactive extrusion and utilization of biofuel and biomass co-products, and 3D printing of biobased polymers. He has more than 700 publications to his credit, including 338 peer-reviewed journal articles (including accepted manuscripts), five edited books, 23 book chapters, and 55 patents awarded/applied. He has received distinguished awards for his work, including the “Andrew Chase Forest Product Award” from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and most recently the “Lifetime Achievement Award”, from the BioEnvironmental Polymer Society (BEPS) in the year 2015. Dr. Mohanty holds the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship at the Technical University, Berlin. His ResearchGate score is 46.17, higher than 97.5% of the 7 million ResearchGate members.
