Dr. Mark Thies is the Dow Chemical Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Clemson University. His research interests include thermodynamics, separations and fractionation, phase behaviour and supercritical fluids. Dr. Thies received his BS in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech and his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Delaware. He holds 3 patents and has published over 70 peer-reviewed journal publications and 3 book chapters. He also serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for Carbon and previously served on the editorial board for The Journal of Supercritical Fluids.
