Dr. Kecheng Li obtained his PhD from the University of Toronto. He is currently a professor and the Chair of the Department of Chemical and Paper Engineering at Western Michigan University, USA, and an adjunct professor at University of Waterloo. Prior to joining WMU in 2016, Dr. Li was a professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of New Brunswick, Canada. Dr. Li's areas of research interests include lignocellulose biorefining for biofuels and biochemicals; nanofibres and advanced biomaterials for flexible electronics and roll-to-roll processing; state-of-the-art surface and nanoscale techniques; and green and clean pulp and paper manufacturing technologies; He and his students have co-authored more than 100 papers and book chapters, six US patents, and delivered numerous conference presentation, He has also given invited seminars and keynote seminars at various conferences, universities and to industrial partners.
