Aji. P. Mathew, is Professor of Functional Material from Nanocellulose at the Department of Materials and Environmental Chemistry, Stockholms University, Sweden. She has 17 years of experience in the field biobased nanomaterials and her research work is focused on isolation of nanoreinforcements from different natural resources and their use as reinforced bionanocomposites, biomedical implants, water cleaning membranes etc. She was previously held positions as Associate Professor at Luleå Universty of Technology, Sweden , Head of the Department of Chemistry of Garden City College, Bangalore, India, and Senior Project Engineer at Underwriters Laboratories India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, India. Dr. Mathew received her PhD in Polymer Chemistry from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India, and held post-doctoral positions at CERMAV Grenoble, France and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway.
