Dr. Ramaswamy Nagarajan is an Associate Professor at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, as well as the Faculty Director of the HEROES initiative at the University. He holds a B.Sc from the University of  Madras, Chennai, India and a B.Tech from Anna University, Chennai, India. Dr. Nagarajan earned his M.Sci in Polymer Science and Ph.D in Polymer Science (Plastics Engineering) from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. His research focuses on the development of green advanced materials for applications including biofuels, catalysts, energy conversion and storage. He also has specific industrial experience in the development of detection systems for explosives products and in the design of flexible electronic materials.
