M.Eng. Mona Duhme is a group manager in the Bio-based Plastics department of the Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety, and Energy Technology UMSICHT. She is specialized in bio-based composites with natural fibers. Currently, she does her PhD at the Technical University of Berlin and her thesis focuses the grafting of PLA on cellulose substrates as reinforcement for injection moldable composites. Her group Processing and Application primarily researches in the field of bio-based and biodegradable polymers for films or applications in environment.
