Dr. Boddu is the Research Leader for the Plant Polymer Research Unit at the National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research (NCAUR) of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Peoria, IL. At NCAUR he manages a team of 25 scientists and technicians developing biobased polymers and composites. Prior to joining the USDA, Dr. Boddu was a Senior Scientist with the US Army Corps Research Laboratory in Champaign, IL, and has over 18 years of experience the areas of Environmental Process Technologies, and Polymer and bioinspired Composite Materials for Soldier and Critical Building Protection. He is the author/co-author of about 65 peer reviewed publications, 90 conference presentations, 15 Army Technical Reports, five patents, and three books.
He is a fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, a Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE), and a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Missouri, USA.
